DC SHOES ‘STREETS & BOARDS & BEES & SWORDS’ WU-TANG CLAN DOCUMENTARY

As a companion piece to the DC Shoes x Wu-Tang 20th Year Anniversary Collection, celebrating the anniversary of the groundbreaking album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), DC Shoes presents “STREETS & BOARDS & BEES & SWORDS.” The short documentary film chronicles the parallel stories of one album’s effect on the music and skate scene upon its release in 1993, and the near simultaneous launch of DC Shoes, a brand that would forever alter the footwear industry. The film is told through first person accounts by notable names in the worlds of music and skateboarding: pro rider Jefferson Pang, photographer Atiba Jefferson, filmmaker RB Umali, producer Dante Ross, as well as Wu-Tang mastermind the RZA. Are you watching the throne?

Kanye West and Jay-Z are two of hip-hop's elite rhymesayers. It was only a matter of time before they would finally come together on a project. Their new cd will be titled "Watch The Throne".  It will be released digitally on August 1, 2011 with physical cd's being released on August 5th.  The tour will hit NYC on 9/27 and 9/28.  "Otis" is the first cd off of their freshman effort.  It hit airwaves and clubs a few days ago and left listeners yearning for more.  The pair of "kings" have released a mini-documentary that will hype up the anticipation of their debut release.
