Two years feels like two decades on the internet, yet in that short time Instagram has become the fastest growing photo-sharing platform. Since the acquisition by Facebook last September, it was only a matter of time before Instagram took a similar aesthetic route as its big brother. Although the revamped Profile website does not share any functionality with Facebook, this is likely to be the first phase of integration between the two social network giants. It is relatively straightforward to jump onto anyone’s Profile site–just type your friend’s username after instagram.com.
